A software research publication owned by Ntara
Methodology & ownership

Show the evidence.

Useful software advice depends on knowing where a claim came from and what remains untested.

Who owns this publication

PXM Field Guide is owned by Ntara, a company that provides PIM, DAM, PXM, ecommerce, and related services. The site is a separate publication with a commercial purpose: helping prospective buyers make decisions and introducing them to Ntara when services are useful.

Ntara has vendor partnerships. Profiles disclose relevant relationships using Ntara’s published partner list. Our evidence requirements apply equally to partner and non-partner platforms.

Five evidence labels

Tested
A recorded task with a repeatable method, results, and reviewer. No tested results are published in this first edition.
Documented
An official support or technical document describes a specific capability and scope.
Vendor stated
A vendor product or marketing page makes the claim. This is not independent performance verification.
Practitioner observation
An attributed observation used with permission and scoped to its implementation.
Unknown or disputed
Evidence is missing, outdated, conflicting, or not comparable. It is not treated as a zero.

How comparisons work

First check must-haves. Then compare the same work, edition, and conditions. The shortlist lets you set priorities and enter your own evaluation results. It does not turn vendor claims into performance scores. A failed requirement blocks a candidate. An unknown requirement keeps it unresolved.

How updates will be reviewed

AI can monitor sources, detect changes, and prepare drafts. Changes to recommendations, scores, negative findings, disputed claims, and pricing interpretations require human review. A new announcement alone cannot prove that one platform is better.

Current publication status

Six profiles and four comparison guides are based on public sources checked on 2026-09-15. The content is AI-assisted. Practitioner review and hands-on benchmarks are pending. Scheduled research and subscriber notifications are not active in this first release.

Corrections

Use Ntara’s contact page to report an error. Include the PXM Field Guide page, the claim, and an authoritative source. Corrections should preserve what changed and when.
